Happy Valentine's Day!

Found out today that Jacob held hands with a girl in his class during church this morning. Isn't he to young for that?

It Snowed!

It started snowing at our house around 4:15 and has not stopped yet. We probably have about 5-6 inches of snow at this time and who knows how much by the morning. This is awesome. In South Carolina you NEVER see this much snow. Seriously, flurries are all we ever see. The news reported that this is the most snow they have seen here in SC since 1973. This is Jacob's first snow, at home, to actually get to play in. It snowed a little last year but was all gone two hours later. He has had so much fun playing in the "know" and we can't wait to take him out to play again in the morning. At first he was hesitant to go out because he told me it was raining but he quickly learned that it is fun.
Tonight after dinner we went out to play for a second time and decided to toss some snowballs around. Jacob thought that was great even if his idea of hitting someone with a snowball is grabbing some snow and then touching your leg with the snow.

Here are some pictures of Jacob in the snow...

Circus!

Last night we went to the Circus. The Ringling Bros Circus was in town and it was mine and Jacob's first time going. It was more of a show than what I had imagined a circus to be but we all had a great time and really enjoyed it. Jacob's favorite part was the Elephants and the confetti at the very end. We were on the 4th row so we were showered with confetti and he LOVED it, he kept picking up the confetti and tossing it back on his head. Jacob did wonderful considering we were there for almost 3 hours and it was past his bed time when we left.

Thank You Ashley Furniture repairman for being so nice to Jacob.

Today we had a guy from Ashley Furniture come to the house to repair a tear on the bottom of our couch. When he arrived Jacob was busily playing with his cars and blocks. He stopped and looked at the man and loudly said "HI". He then tried to play ball with the repair guy while he was fixing the couch. The entire time the guy talked to him and laughed about how interested Jacob was in what he was doing. He was so nice to talk to him about what he was doing and how he was fixing the couch. When he got ready to leave he made a point to talk to Jacob and tell him bye. He held out his hand to shake Jacob's hand. Jacob did not hesitate, he reached his hand out and shook the man's hand. Jacob then stood at the door and told the man bye as he got in his truck. This may not mean much to a lot of people but as a mom it meant a lot to me. So many times moms of toddlers get dirty looks and sometimes even comments about their inquisitive little ones, when it is welcomed it is actually a breath of fresh air.
