I don't know what else to say but that we are at a loss for words about us not being back in PGN by now. We read others blogs and see updates where they were re-submitted back in a few weeks ago and their cases are moving along smoothly. We don't understand what the hold up with our case is and are trying our best to remain positive. We know that everything is out of our control and that in the right time our case will move forward but we are having a hard time understanding why that "right time" has not come yet. This whole process has taken months longer than we ever thought and each delay just adds a little bit more worry to us.
We are praying that we hear some good news any day now and are looking forward to being able to shout out that we are back in PGN. In the meantime we are getting excited about being able to go spend some time with Madison for her birthday.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Monday is Pray for Madison Day!
Ok, well we don't really have any news to update you all with but we have decided that tomorrow (Monday, Feb. 25, 2008) will be PRAY FOR MADISON DAY. We are asking everyone to please set aside some time tomorrow to pray for Madison and the adoption case. We believe that there is power in numbers so the more people we have praying the better. If for some reason you don't read this until after Monday please feel free to pray at anytime.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers.

Good News and Not So Good News
Well in the earlier post I posted that our case was being re-submitted to PGN. Our agency thought that was going to be the case but it was not. Our attorney decided to go over each of his cases with a fine tooth comb and make sure there were no issues before he re-submitted them to PGN. He spent this week going over the cases again and was only able to submit 3 out of 12 cases to PGN today. Unfortunately our case was not one of the 3. They did tell us that he is planning on submitting our case sometime next week. We are going to pray that this happens and wait for the news from our agency. We were also reassured that our case is not just being pushed to the side but that our attorney and his assistant are trying to work on all cases and have spent this "waiting" time trying to fix the reasons for the kick outs on all cases. Wayne and I both understand that sometimes it can take weeks if not months to fix an issue with a case due to the location of the birth and the lack of technology in some areas. We also realize that our case is not their only case and that each family is waiting for a child not just us. We have been out of PGN since October 25 and trying to wait patiently for our case to be corrected and then re-submitted. Unfortunately when it was finally all corrected the current PGN was not taking any cases due to the new laws going into effect. Then we had to wait for the new laws and the new Central Authority to be established. Well it is finally looking like there is light at the end of the tunnel and that we will hopefully be able to post sometime next week that we are officially back in PGN.
For some other news, during the conversation with our agency coordinator tonight we were discussing our plans to go visit Madison for her birthday. During this part of the conversation we also let her know that Madison will also soon be a big sister. We were hesitant to let them know about this news because we were not sure what delays it might cause in the adoption. Well we found out tonight that will it not only NOT be an issue but that she (our coordinator) is extremely excited for us. This only confirmed for us that we are certainly working with the right agency.
Please keep us in your prayers and feel free to leave us comments when you read the blog. We love to hear what you all think.

Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentines Day Madison! Happy Valentines Day everyone!
It is so hard to think about all of her firsts we are missing but great to know that none of these holidays will be missed again. We are looking forward to every day with Madison even the days when she is misbehaving. This process has taught us that each day with a child is precious and that it should never be taken for granted.
We are still waiting to hear if our case was actually submitted to PGN or not. We are praying that we will be blessed with her being home soon. This process has been longer than we ever imagined but Madison is more than worth the wait. We knew she was meant to be our daughter the moment we looked at her first pictures. I cannot wait for each of you to get to meet her and see how wonderful she is in person. She has no idea what a support system she has with all of our family and friends.

AMEN we are being re-submitted to PGN!
I have been praying for some positive news about our case and each day checking my email with anticipation. Well today the good news came!!!
We received an email from our agency today informing us that our case was re-registered with the Central Authority yesterday (per the new requirements) and that today our attorney's were re-submitting our case to PGN. We have never been so excited to hear the three letters, PGN, than we are now. The fact that our case is going back in PGN is huge!!! Madison will be a year old on March 20; we want so badly to have her home by the end of March. We know that God is in control and we know that Madison will come home soon. Please keep us in your prayers. I would also like to ask you to please pray for our attorney's, the foster family, the translator, and the individuals at PGN who will be looking over our case, as well as the other families waiting for their adoptions to be completed.
We are ready and waiting for Madison to come home and are praying for a fast process through PGN without any kick outs.

Our case has been submitted to the Central Authority
We found out that our case was submitted to the new agency Central Authority on the 30th. This means that our attorney was able to fill out the required form and get it back to them within their scheduled deadline. We are now waiting for the Central Authority to issue some sort of certificate stating that we are officially registered with them. Our attorney will then take our case and the certificate to PGN and re-submit our case with them. Once our case is back in PGN we pray that there will be no more issues and that it will sail through all of the reviewer’s desks. We don't have a timeline for what needs to be done because there is never a guarantee with how long your case will take in PGN. I can tell you what all we still have to get done before we can go and bring Madison home.
Once our case is approved by PGN our attorney will then apply for a new birth certificate with our last name on it for Madison's last name. Then a second DNA test will be ordered to prove that she is still the same child and has not been switched since the first DNA test. She will also go for a doctor's appointment with a US Embassy approved doctor for a final check up. A passport will be issued for her to travel to the United States and then an appointment will be made for us to meet with the US Embassy for her Visa to be issued. It seems like a lot still left to do but we are trying to just take things one day at a time and our biggest hurdle will be with finally getting our approval from PGN. Once we get that then it is all downhill from there. As soon as we know more I will post it here.
Thanks for all of your prayers and support. PLEASE keep on praying. THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER
