Madison is 3 months old!

Well we are still in the waiting process but the wait just got a little bit easier because we just received some new pictures. She is currently 3 months, 2 days old and weighs 12 pounds. She has gained so much weight from the pictures of her when she was born and weighed only 5 pounds 9 ounces.

Wayne was about to go crazy because he is in class and can't check his email to see the pictures. I finally figured out how to send him the pictures on his phone so I know he will be happy now.

We also want to thank everyone for your prayers and support we wouldn't be able to do this without everyone.

Now take a look at this precious beautiful little girl........

Picture of her 3 days after she was born........ wow she has grown so much!

Still Waiting!

Well I have been told that people want an update but I don't really have anything to update. Today I mailed the last bit of paperwork we had to get together and now we are waiting on our paperwork back from the government. In the mean time I am working on getting things ready for her at home. I am preparing myself for a long waiting period but trusting in God that the time will go by fairly easy. I know that in his time we will go and bring Madison home and until then we are supposed to be patient. I am grateful for the pictures we have of her so that at least I can keep her face in my mind. I wonder what her personality is like and can't wait until I can see it develop through the years.
Wayne and I ask that you keep us in your prayers and that the adoption process will continue to go as smoothly as it has so far. We are so thankful to God that things have gone so smooth and fast.

If you haven't already, take a look at her pictures below. Isn't she adorable!

Congratulations Rachael!!!

I just wanted to take a minute and congratulate my niece Rachael on her graduation.

We are all proud of you.

As requested......here is an update!!!

There is not a lot more to tell about the actual adoption process. We are in the final stages of the paperwork and have already sent some off to the Secretary of State to be verified and to Guatemala for authentication. We are now only left with about 4 things we have to complete before all of the paperwork is completed. We have already started the process of getting all of the necessary things to complete this and are currently in a waiting period for everything. We are still working on getting the funds to pay the rest of the adoption fees as well as our trip to Guatemala.

We are now in the nursery mode. We are trying to focus on getting the room ready for her. I never thought that 1 1/2 months after we started this process I would be stressing about getting the nursery set up, but here I am. I am hoping to be able to paint the room within the next few weeks but I have to decide on what color first. We have chosen the crib bedding and purchased it so that I can have it to help me decide what color I like best. Here is a picture of the quilt.

Of course we are in the shopping mode as well and can't wait to buy her more stuff. We have only purchased a small amount of clothes due to us not really knowing what size she will be when we go get her but have purchased some toys (mostly stuffed animals). Here is a picture of her new rocking elephant....isn't it adorable!

Please continue to keep myself, Wayne, and Madison in your prayers as well as the entire adoption process. We know that God has truely blessed us through this process and can't wait to give Madison a permanent home.

She looks like a good sleeper! We hope she will continue to be once she is home.
